Himal Agro, being a social interprise, engages with community education, support and sustainability in fruit farming and agriculture in general. Currently we are supporting three initiatives.
Save the BEES
Himal Agro is freely distributing high quality and good growth Chiuri saplings to individuals or community to plant in their homes or community forests. Chiuri is known as one of the best food for bees. Also it adds to the bio-diversity in forests that have few species.
Currently we have about 500 saplings to distribute.
Chuiri plants are available for free and can be got by contacting us directly at the following numbers:

Fruit trees by the Roadside
Himal Agro, in coordination of the Nagarpalika and the Ward offices of Rainas Nagarpalika, has planted over 2500 avocado and other fruit trees on the roadside leading from Paudi to Teenpipale (5 km road).
This intitiative is to provide shade along the roads while harvesting fruits for public good.
Current phase is taking care of the plants including weeding, watering and fertilizing.
Tree Sapling distribution
In the last 3 years, Himal Agro has distributed over 12,000 fruit tree saplings to people in the area.
Currently we are monitoring the growth of these plants and coordinating with the farmers on weeding, watering and fetilizing.
In the future Himal agro will look into partnership based sapling distribution, where farmers will have to take care of the trees and Himal Agro will guarantee market for the fruits harvested.
